Das Motiv soll einen im ersten Moment verwirren, sodass man nochmal drüberlesen muss. Angelehnt an das den Namen von 50Cents Album „Get rich or die trying“, spielt das Motiv mit dem Thema des Sterbens. Frei übersetzt Lebe für immer oder stirb beim Versuch soll der Schriftzug zu kurzem Innehalten anregen. Es sollte der Gedanken kommen, dass es deutlich wahrscheinlicher ist, beim Versuch Unendlich zu leben zu sterben als tatsächlich ewig zu leben.
Der Diamant auf der Front zeigt eine eigene Version eines „Sims“-Diamanten (sog. Plumbob). Dieser stellt im Computerspiel „Die Sims“ den Indikator dar, welcher dem Spieler signalisiert, welche Figur er gerade steuert und welche Figuren er steuern kann.
Die Tatsache, dass man ihn selbst trägt und sehen kann, soll implizieren, dass man selbst derjenige „in control“ ist. Man ist selbstbestimmt und trifft Entscheidungen.
Ich selbst stecke immer wieder in Situationen, in denen ich eine Entscheidung aufschiebe, um sie dann teilweise im Endeffekt nicht selbst treffen zu müssen. Das sie dadurch genauso getroffen wird, wie wenn ich sie treffe, ist mir irgendwann klargeworden. Dieses Motiv soll mich motivieren, mich an diesen Gedanken zu erinnern und mich motivieren Entscheidungen bewusst zu treffen.

The motif should confuse you at first, so that you have to read over it again. Based on the name of 50Cent’s album “Get rich or die trying”, the motif plays with the theme of dying. The lettering is intended to inspire a brief pause. The idea is that it is much more likely to die trying to live forever than to actually live forever, but that shouldn’t stop you from trying.
The diamond on the front shows our own version of a “Sims” diamond (so-called Plumbob). In the computer game “The Sims”, this is the indicator that signals to the player which character they are currently controlling and which characters they can control.
The fact that you can wear and see it yourself is intended to imply that you are the one “in control”. You are self-determined and make decisions.
I find myself in situations time and again where I postpone a decision so that I don’t have to make it myself in the end. At some point, I realized that it is just as much a decision as when I make it. This motif should motivate me to remember this thought and motivate me to make decisions consciously.
